It has been said that we know only 5 percent of what we will know by the year 2050, and that includes the many ways we could be transporting humans and goods. Let’s look at some of the popular predictions of how transportation may change over the next 30 years. (More after the jump)
The joke vehicle accessories, Carstache and Truck Nutz, have a new company moving into their territory with a product called Car Lashes. These are flexible “eye lashes” designed to be cut and pasted onto your headlights using a 3M-type double sided tape. The company is also selling a crystal “eye liner” that can be applied over top the lashes for an even greater “headlight popping” effect.
The kit retails for $24.99 for the lashes, and $19.99 for the jewel eye liner via their CarLashes Web store, which last time I checked was so packed with visitors (or should I rather say, disbelievers), their server was down for exceeding its bandwidth. Does this mean you can expect to see at least one of these on a Volkswagen Beetle before you die… I’d say almost certainly!
Check out the video.

You’ve probably never seen the likes of a racing game chair quite like this one, but then again at 16′ X 6′, it’s not exactly something you can just stash away next to the XBOX 360. Ball Racing Developments (BRD) has created the end all of Formula One simulators with their ultra advanced BRD-06 model.
What does a top of the line racing simulator include? Well, the frame of the chair is built around a lifelike F1 suspension, wheels/tires, and chassis molded from show quality carbon fiber, fiberglass, and powder coated steel.
It features a quick release F1 steering wheel, racing seat, 4-point harness, paddle shifters, high G-loading, and a powerful Pro-ST force-feedback system for realistic steering. Each racer also features a pressure sensitive accelerator/brake, triple 24” TFT display (optional projector), 5.1 surround sound, and smoke machine to deliver realistic puffs of smoke during hard braking.
How much? If you have to ask, don’t bother putting it on your Christmas list.

To commemorate the unveiling of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, the fastest car in the world, Parmigiani Fleurier created a special Bugatti Super Sport timepiece.
In 2010, Parmigiani flips all the mechanical components of the new caliber Bugatti PF 372 onto a vertical axis, retaining the lateral time display so appreciated by car drivers. In a world premiere, Parmigiani has successfully developed a 90° time setting system – the dial is positioned perpendicular to the axis – by integrating a system of double pinions with bevel gearing. Six sapphire crystals reveal the 337 impressive components of the new Bugatti Super Sport, while the highly tapered profile of the Bugatti Super Sport recalls the iconic form of the lugs on a Parmigiani watch case. via.
