For all those up in the San Francisco area or who will be there the weekend of August 21, don’t miss out on what will surely be a fun event, as Rebel8 and Pabst Blue Ribbon present their first annual “Ball Buster’s Pinball Tournament!” There will be live painting by the talented Mike Giant, DJs, food, refreshments and games, all going down at the Guerrero Gallery from 6 pm ’til midnight.
Nike Santa Monica hosted special festivities to celebrate the opening of the latest retail space. The two-story, 19,000-square-foot store is the first multi-category opening in the US for Nike since 1990 when the company first launched Niketown. On Friday, August 6, Nike hosted a special VIP opening, with the celebration continuing the next day for consumers. Saturday featured a drumline processional kickoff complete with cheerleaders, an opening reception with celeb hosts and Nike athletes and ended with a parade with All-Stars, drumlines, cheerleaders and dance crews. The new store features innovative consumer experiences, market tailored product offerings, community resources and the introduction of Nike+ Run Club and team customization services.
