Mustang “Skates” Streets of LA for Ninth ’10 Unleashed Installment
When director Jeff Richter was asked how he would unleash his inner Mustang, his answer was simple: take the Mustang and make it do the impossible. For the ninth installment of Ford’s ‘10 Unleashed campaign professional skateboarders Pat Duffy and Jake Brown joined the 2010 Mustang and spent a day skating the streets of Los Angeles doing ollies, 360s, kickflips, wall and tail grinds, plus much more.

This experience is among several other dream Mustang experiences Ford is bringing to life with “The ‘10 Unleashed.” Famous drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. slid sideways around Japan, consumer Roger Keeney drove blindly, 18-year-old consumer Derek Murrell drag raced his high school shop teacher and four gamers tested their Need for Speed SHIFT in real life at Willow Springs Raceway. Ford has yet to release any performance figures for the 2011 Mustang V6, but other mechanical improvements for the new model year include a revised suspension with new damper tuning and spring rates as well as a new rear lower control arm and stiffened stabilizer bar while there’s also larger four-wheel ABS disc brakes, with 11.5 inch front and 11.8 inch rear rotors. The 2011 Mustang V6 will make its first public appearance at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week.
