BMW already makes a 3-series diesel but German tuner Alpina has modified the vehicle by replacing the car’s motor with a smaller, highly tuned engine that gives it a sportier feel. The featured engine is a twin-turbo diesel that cranks out 214-hp and gets to 62-mph in just under seven seconds. It’s top speed is 152 -mph. The car is very economical getting nearly 44-mpg with a manual transmission even with the increase in power and size of the 3-series chassis. There aren’t many of these in production (only 100) at the moment and the car is currently available in Europe and the UK only.
