Hurst Turbocharged Redline Series V6 Camaro
Every now and then the V-6 crowd is thrown a bone in the form of a high performance option vehicle, and Hurst is opening up the 3.6-liter Chevrolet Camaro RS to the tune of 360 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque thanks to a set of 40th Anniversary Redline Series BFGoodrich Radial T/A’s. Oh, I should also mention the tires are probably getting a little help from the remote-mounted turbocharger clamped to the Hurst dual exhaust. This will be the first time in history a turbo system has been indoctrinated into the Hurst performance vehicle lineup.
LSD Grafts Lambo Doors onto Chevy Camaro
What do you get when you cross an icon of redneck glory with an icon of tuner culture?
No, it’s not a hip-hop remake of a Lynyrd Skynyrd tune, although we have a feeling Snoop Dogg could do Freebird if he wanted to. No, this time you get a Camaro with scissor doors.
It’s actually a German firm that built them. LSD Doors (seriously, they named themselves LSD Doors? Has anyone told them?) is offering the kit. It’s $948 for one, if for some reason you just want one. The set is $2023.
The doors are actually fairly easy to install. They fit into the existing mounts. With the help of LSD’s Guided Roller System, they first open outward, then swing up and lock in place.
LSD claims the German government has crash-tested the system, and found it as safe as the factory doors. If you feel the urge to spread your Camaro’s wings, more info can be found at LSD.
