To celebrate Infiniti’s 20 years in the U.S. market, Nissan is releasing three special editions of its popular G37 sedan, coupe and convertible models equipped with various standard goodies. Only 350 G Sedans and 200 each for the G Coupe and G Convertible will be offered in the States, with sales set to start nationwide in mid-April. All the Anniversary Cars have a 3.7-liter V6 engine hooked up to a 7-speed automatic transmission and feature a new Graphite Shadow exterior color with the interiors appointed with Monaco Red Leather. Both the coupe and Convertible interiors feature special Red-toned Maple and the two Sedans have the new Shodo-finish aluminum trim. Other added extras for the special editions include: standard Premium and Navigation Packages; specific alloy wheels with W-rated summer performance tires; a Midnight Black grille; unique front chin spoiler or front fascia; sport side sills (Coupe and Convertible); rear spoiler (except Convertible); and an updated rear fascia for the Coupe. Mercedes-Benz is saying goodbye to its naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V8 that powered an array of AMG models over the years for its newly developed AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine, which boasts way more power but is also more fuel efficient. The new engine features direct injection with spray-guided combustion and twin turbocharging and is showcased here on a modified up S63 AMG sedan that pays tribute to the 1971 300 SEL 6.8 AMG. Horsepower is 544 in standard form, with 590 lb.-ft. of torque, while AMG Performance package these figures are increased to 571HP and 663.8 lb.-ft. of torque. (more…)

GM wants the world to admire the iconic Corvette and especially wants younger buyers in the States to take notice. According to GM, the reason why Corvette hasn’t gotten tons of success in international markets or been admired by younger drives is because of its styling, which makes the car appear larger than it really is.

When the redesign hits the market within the next two to three years, GM hopes to have “trimmer, meaner [design] to go along with the incredible performance that the car has.” (more…)

CFC has totally taken the Hummer H2 to a totally other level with its own customized version of the massive vehicle. Starting from the outside, the ‘chrome’ vinyl wrap is complemented by tinted windows, a carbon wrapped hood and a set of CFC stickers. The H2 rides on massive 28-inch TunerShop wheels wrapped in 325/35 R28 Kumho tires. The exterior of H2 also includes four tail pipes, additional lights, chromed side guards and Lambo-Style-Doors. Inside you’ll find 17 LCD screens plus an HD TV, (on the ceiling, sunscreen, central console between the front seats, trunk and doors), a DVD-player, a 1.360-Watt RMS music system, and a mini bar.

The seats have been upholstered in black leather with yellow stitching while there’s also a new rear sofa and yellow decorative trim on the dash. CFC also tuned the Hummer H2’s engine to now pump out 480HP. (more…)

Acura let us know that it plans to expand its TSX lineup with a more practical station wagon variant in the fall of 2010 and they just announced that we’ll get our first look at what is essentially the North American market version of the European Honda Accord Tourer at the New York International Auto Show on March 31. It’s safe to assume that the TSX Sport Wagon will be offered with the same 201HP 2.4-liter four cylinder and 280HP 3.5-liter V6 powertrains already available on the sedan version in the U.S. (more…)

Ken Block and Alex Gelsomino in the Greystoke Forest in Cumbria England, getting in their first and only day of testing the Monster World Rally Team Ford Focus RS WRC before their first race at Corona Rally Mexico. The team was able to put in over 170km of test miles, unfortunately, the snow and mud conditions are a bit different than what they can expect in Leon, Mexico.

The new GT5 “Nights” trailer has it all. Music from Ibiza bumps while get a look at regular gameplay, sports car racing, pit stops, NASCAR, night racing and damage scenes. The new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is also featured quite often.

Chip Foose unveiled his latest creation, a customized 1970 John Deere 4020 Tractor, at the 2010 Commodity Classic trade show held in Anaheim, California last weekend. The Foose team had been working on the uniquely designed tractor since last November, and the final product will tour the country as part of the Drive Green Tractor Experience Tour immediately following the trade show.

“I’ve looked at tractors for years and always thought they’re narrow, they look almost like a dry lakes car or even some of the old Indy cars, so that’s the direction I took,” Chip says. “I wanted some of that racing feel to the tractor. And with the turf tires in the back and the three-ribbed tires in the front, it carries that theme all the way through from the tires to the sheet metal work to the paint job … but it’s still a John Deere.”

The John Deere 4020 that Foose customized came from a farm in Ohio, where it was still being used. The tractor’s engine, transmission, clutch, fuel system and other major components underwent some mechanical updating, in addition to the complete cosmetic redesign that is seen on the custom tractor today.
